Wrestlers Protest: Wrestlers formed two committees, will decide future strategy

Top wrestlers including Bajrang, Vinesh and Sakshi Malik have been protesting at Jantar Mantar since April 23 against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, demanding his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting seven wrestlers, including a minor.
Wrestlers can appeal in the High Court
Wrestlers have the option of going to the lower court or the Delhi High Court if they are not satisfied with the police investigation. The Supreme Court on Thursday stopped action on the petition of women wrestlers. The court had earlier noted that an FIR has been registered in the matter and adequate security has been provided to the seven complainants. The wrestlers, however, said that the court’s decision was not a shock to them. The Delhi Police has registered two FIRs against Singh including the POCSO Act. The police have also recorded the statements of five wrestlers including a minor.
