Yashasvi Jaiswal also dominates ICC Test rankings, makes place in top-15

New Delhi. India’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has scored two double centuries in three matches of the Test series against England, has jumped 14 places in the ICC Test rankings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is now being considered a big name for the future team of India. All the greats of world cricket have sung ballads in his praise.

Well, this is not the first time that this 22 year old young batsman has made headlines. But, his innings in the last two Test matches against England have made him famous all over the world. Yashasvi Jaiswal has also benefited from these innings in the latest ICC Test rankings.

After scoring a century in the first innings against England, captain Rohit Sharma has moved up one place to 12th position, while after coming close to a century in the second innings, Shubman Gill has moved up three places to 35th position.

At the same time, after playing their first Test match, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel have entered the rankings at 75th and 100th position respectively.

Player of the match Ravindra Jadeja’s innings of 112 runs in the first innings in Rajkot has taken him from 41st to 34th position among batsmen. He has also strengthened his position at the top of the all-rounder rankings and has reached a career-best 469 rating points from 416.

Meanwhile, Kane Williamson has consolidated his position at the top of the batting rankings after scoring his seventh century in seven Test matches against South Africa.

Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has moved closer to his Indian teammate Jasprit Bumrah at the top of the Test bowling rankings by jumping one place after reaching 500 Test wickets. Whereas, in the same list, Jadeja has jumped three places to sixth place.

England opener Ben Duckett’s inning of 153 runs in the first innings has taken him up 12 places to 13th position.
