In the third Test match against England on the fourth day, India declared the innings after scoring 430 runs for four wickets thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten double century of 214 runs and Sarfaraz Khan’s unbeaten half-century of 68 runs. With this, India’s lead increased to 556 runs and England has to score 557 runs in about one and a half days to win this match. Yashasvi hit 14 fours and 12 sixes in his double century. With this, he has become the batsman to hit the most sixes for India in a series. This is Yashasvi’s second consecutive double century. Sarfaraz is the fourth Indian batsman to score half-centuries in both innings of his debut Test.

Sarfaraz played an inning of 68 runs with the help of six fours and three sixes. Earlier, the Indian team, which was ahead by 196 runs with the loss of two wickets yesterday, had added two more 118 runs till lunch and lost two wickets. Today, as the third wicket, Shubman Gill was run out on the score of 91 runs. After that, Kuldeep Yadav also got caught by Joe Root in the slip off the ball of Rehan Ahmed on 26 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was retarded on the third day, came on the field to bat again after Shubman Gill was out and scored his double century.
