The airline has started a big initiative to provide free internet service to the people during the journey of Air India. During a conversation with the Times of India, Air India MD-CEO Campbell Wilson said that the WiFi service will start with the Airbus A350. After which it will be gradually expanded to other flights. Apart from WiFi, the interior of the flight is being changed. In the next two years, the interior of Air India aircraft will be completely changed.
According to the CEO of Air India, by March next year, WiFi service will be started in 19 new wide body aircraft. All the interiors are also being given a brand new look. He told that by the year 2024, the makeover of the existing 40 wide body aircraft of Air India will be sent. In which there will be a makeover of 27 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and 13 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Air India has spent 400 million dollars in all this.
There is a plan to spend $400 million i.e. Rs 33,09,78,00,000 on Air India’s makeover project. This project will be completed by 2025. In this mega project of Air India, renovation work will be done in 40 wide body aircraft. The interior of the planes will be done so that the cabin and the seats of the passengers can be made more comfortable and better. In this, the interior of the cabin will change under the refurbishing. The pilot’s seat will be more comfortable and of the latest generation. There will be complete arrangement of entertainment in the flight. You will be able to use WiFi during the journey.
