Surat: Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia held an interactive meeting with leading businessmen in America.  Loktej Surat, Business News

South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar and former Honorary Treasurer Bhavesh Gadhiya are on a visit to the US as part of the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. He met many government and private organizations and leading industrialists. Many Indian industrialists and businessmen, including from Surat, Gujarat, are trying to connect with American businessmen. Under which the Chamber delegation visited the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and had one-to-one interactive meetings with prominent Gujarati businessmen living there.

This interactive meeting with the Chamber of Commerce included prominent Pittsburgh businessmen Jadavbhai Monpara (manufacturer of electronic goods), D.K. Sutaria, Sachin Kalthiya and a large number of industry leaders and other dignitaries were present. Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia gave a presentation under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 and gave information about the network established through Mission 84 to connect industrialists and businessmen from across India including Surat, Gujarat with US businessmen. Under Mission 84, there was a detailed discussion on how the businessmen of India and America can connect with each other and how exports from India can be increased and how they can be useful for the businessmen of America.

During the interactive meeting, prominent businessmen raised questions on the quality of products exported from India and expressed hope of cooperation from the government by giving information to the businessmen here about the problems being faced due to commitments. If Indian Embassy officials work comfortably with the local people and show interest in solving the business problems of local businessmen, a lot of good work can be done, he assured the Chamber President.

Prominent local businessmen associated with Mission 84 assured full cooperation and said that efforts would be made to increase exports from Surat, Gujarat and India. He also showed readiness to help the Chamber of Commerce and the industrialists and businessmen of Surat, Gujarat in the future. The Chamber President thanked prominent businessman Jadavbhai Monpara for successfully organizing the meeting at his home.
