70% decline in business after Article 370 on 4th day

The film ‘Article 370’, adorned with Yami Gautam’s strong performance, has succeeded in winning the hearts of the audience in theatres. The film, which was released in theaters on Friday, received very good reviews from critics. ‘Article 370’ was described as one of the best films based on Kashmir. The public who returned after watching the initial shows praised the film highly. Yami Gautam’s film took advantage of this momentum throughout the weekend and made a strong collection. Now the real test of the film, Monday’s box office reports are coming which show that the fourth day was a bit slow for ‘Article 370’, but the film has made a strong collection on Monday also.

‘Article 370’ slowed down on Monday

On Friday, ‘Article 370’ started with an opening collection of Rs 6.12 crore. On the second day, the ticket of the film increased from Rs 99 to normal rates but despite this, positive word of mouth worked wonders and Yami’s film collected Rs 9.08 crore on Saturday.

After the big jump on Saturday, ‘Article 370’ continued to show its strength at the box office on Sunday also. The film once again took a good jump and this time crossed the double digit mark. ‘Article 370’ earned Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday.

This film, which made a strong collection of Rs 25.45 crore in the first weekend, has shown its strength on Monday also. Estimates from trade reports are that ‘Article 370’ has collected around Rs 3.25 crore at the box office on the fourth day. That means Yami’s film has earned around Rs 29 crore in 4 days.

The decline is lighter than Friday

There was a continuous jump in the earnings of ‘Article 370’ between Friday and Sunday. In such a situation, the film’s earnings on Monday seem to be slightly less than those on Sunday. The collection on the fourth day of the film has declined by about 70% compared to the third day, but as of Friday, the collection has fallen by less than 50%.

‘Article 370’ will now be seen growing in the range of Rs 3 crore from Tuesday. In such a situation, on completion of one week on Thursday, the collection of the film will be more than Rs 35 crore. This first week collection will be considered very strong for a medium budget film released on around 2000 screens.
