The increased DA will be applicable from July
Central employees are currently getting dearness allowance at the rate of 42 per cent. After the announcement of four per cent increase in DA, it will increase to 46 per cent. If there is an increase of 3 percent then it will be 45 percent. According to the AICPI index, by June 2023, the DA of the employees has reached 46 percent. The increased DA will be applicable from July. 2 months DA arrears will also be available when announced in September.
By how much will the salary of the employees increase?
Employees whose minimum basic pay is Rs 18,000 currently get DA of Rs 7560 per month at the rate of 42 per cent. At 46 per cent, he will get DA of Rs 8280 per month. That means there will be an increase of Rs 720 every month. There will be an increase of Rs 8640 in the DA of the employees on an annual basis.
Employees with a maximum basic pay of Rs 56,900 are currently getting dearness allowance of Rs 23,898 per month. After 46 per cent it will be Rs 26,174 per month ie DA will increase by Rs 2276 per month. If seen on an annual basis, there will be an increase of Rs 27,312 in DA.
