Chipset maker MediaTek plans to expand into vehicles, satellite communications

Anku Jain, Managing Director, Noida-based MediaTek India, reiterated its commitment towards expanding its presence across the smartphone and smart device ecosystem in India. The company shared its latest portfolio and upcoming 5G chipsets which include MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus, 9000 Plus, 8020, 7050, 7200, Companio 1200, MediaTek Dimensity Auto and MediaTek Genio 1200. MediaTek said that it has also entered into some of the latest alliances across portfolio with Motorola, Flipkart, HP, OnePlus, Lava, Xiaomi, Infinix, Oppo, Vivo, Tecno, Realme, iQOO and Samsung etc.”
Shri Jain said, “New age technologies like Internet of Things, 5G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing and AR/VR are creating a new wave of innovation. In addition, we are looking to innovate in new verticals such as automotive, satellite communication and connectivity.”
