Ludhiana’s confectioner Arjun Singh has won KBC, he said that the journey to reach the hot seat of KBC was very long. Sitting in front of Amitabh Bachchan and answering his questions was like winning crores of rupees for him. He has served the most popular Rajasthani traditional Ghevar and Dilkushan Barfi from his shop to Amitabh Bachchan, the show was aired on 21st December, Thursday night. Although Arjun Singh could win only three and a half lakh rupees, he says that the prize money does not matter much to him, but sitting on the hot seat and talking to the megastar of the century Amitabh Bachchan and keeping the name of Ludhiana. Arjun Singh, resident of Arba village of Jodhpur, came and settled in Ludhiana 25 years ago. Here he runs a shop named Om Bikaner Mishthan Bhandar in Agar Nagar. He was trying to get selected in KBC ever since it started in 2000. He reached auditions in 2009 and 2014, but was not selected, now when KBC season 15 started, he tried again.
Arjun told that about a month ago there was a shooting in Goregaon, Mumbai, in which he reached the hot seat by answering the fastest finger first question in 4.82 seconds. According to Arjun Singh, he has reached the hot seat with the blessings of his father Nahar Singh and mother Bhanwari Devi. At first he could not believe himself that he was sitting in front of Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh also talked to him a lot about Ludhiana’s lifestyle, food habits, hosiery, machinery parts etc. Amitabh told him that he himself has been reading Sahir Ludhianvi’s books. Arjun had to use the audience poll lifeline only on the fifth question worth Rs 10,000.
When the audience answered his questions, Arjan Singh distributed sweets to the audience, which he had purchased from his shop. He also gave sweets to Amitabh Bachchan. Arjun lost all three lifelines by the time he reached Rs 3.20 lakh, he crossed the question of Rs 3.20 lakh with the help of double dip. Here, he reactivated the audience’s poll lifeline by answering 7 out of 10 questions in the ‘Super Sanduk’ round. But again got stuck on the question of Rs 6.20 lakh. Despite using an audience poll, their answer turned out to be wrong. But he shared his experience.
