Mumbai: Well-known actor Aarav Choudhary is very happy to play the role of ‘Raja Dasharatha’ in the serial Shrimad Ramayan aired on Sony Entertainment Television. Sony Entertainment Television brings to the audiences ‘Shrimad Ramayan’ which will premiere on January 01, 2024 and will air every Monday to Friday at 09 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television. Aarav Chaudhary has played the role of King Dasharatha in ‘Shrimad Ramayana’. Aarav Choudhary told, when Swastik Production approached me to play the role of King Dasharatha in Shrimad Ramayana, I felt that there would be nothing worth doing in the role of Dasharatha.

I got a chance to play the character of Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharata. My role in ‘Mahabharata’ has been from the first episode till the last episode. If seen from that perspective, Dasharatha’s role seemed very small. Aarav Chaudhary told, We all are familiar with the character of Dasharatha and how he was forced to send Shri Ram into exile. When I listened to the narration of Shrimad Ramayana, I came to know that Shrimad Ramayana starts with the character of King Dasharatha. Then, why was he named Dasharatha and how great a warrior he was, which battles did he fight? All this is shown in Shrimad Ramayana. There are two epics of India, one is Mahabharata and the other is Ramayana. I am fortunate that ten years ago I did Mahabharata and now after ten years I have got a chance to do Shrimad Ramayana with Swastik Productions.
