Mumbai: Actress Anu Aggarwal, known for her role in the film Aashiqui, was seen advocating self-love instead of cosmetic surgery ahead of Women’s Day.
The actress, who became an overnight sensation with Aashiqui in the 1990s, met with a road accident in which she suffered multiple facial injuries. It took him a long time to recover from these injuries.
After all this, the actress had to face criticism on social media for her changed appearance, but the actress accepted herself the way she was.
Ahead of Women’s Day, Anu shared a message for women, in which she spoke openly about the challenges faced by them after the life-changing accident.
She said, ‘Despite facing a life-changing accident and trolling about my looks, I emphasize on self-acceptance and have always accepted myself for who I am.’
The actress has never considered cosmetic surgery, urging women to prioritize self-love and avoid potentially risky cosmetic treatments.
Expressing concern over the increasing popularity of such procedures and decreasing awareness about the associated risks, Anu said, ‘Today’s women should prioritize self-love and avoid risky cosmetic treatments. Unfortunately these things are becoming more popular. “Influencer marketing today is dictating what women should look like and so girls as young as 16 are being urged to get Botox and women are less concerned about the risks associated with it.”
