The actress said that even after the news of Arundhati being in the hospital and needing money for her treatment spread on social media, no one from the Tamil film industry has extended a helping hand to her. Ramya said, “Arundhati has played the title role in five films in Tamil. She was so seriously injured that until yesterday doctors suspected she might be brain dead. Still, no one from the Tamil film industry contacted. I know it is not necessary, but it would have been nice if someone had called and inquired about their well-being, forget about financial help.

Ramya said that Arundhati was born and brought up in Thiruvananthapuram, but she has acted in only one Malayalam film so far and yet the Malayalam film industry came forward on one voice. Arundhati’s sister Arati said that when family and friends started seeking financial support for Arundhati who was fighting for her life, many people made fun of them. “My sister is so badly injured, but many people are saying it is a scam,” she said. Ramya said the problem started when Malayalam actress and friend Gopika Anand asked for financial help on her social media page. Appealed.
