What was the reason for doing ‘Sunflower Two’ series?
The story and my character. You must have seen my character in the trailer. There are many colors hidden in the character. ‘Rosie’ laughs, then looks scared. His eyes and face look innocent, but his mind is full of evil. Rosie is a very fierce character. I have not played this kind of character before, initially I was not able to understand whether to play this character or not. Later I felt that I would enjoy playing the character of ‘Rosie’ a lot and it happened.

Sunil Grover is your costar in the series, how would you describe your association with him?
He is an amazing actor. We often limit him to comedy, but he shows every shade of acting in the same way with his acting.

After the big screen, ‘The Kerala Story’ has been released on OTT, how special is this feeling?
Definitely a great feeling. More people can be reached through OTT. This picture is reaching people’s homes. Many people were waiting for my film to be released on OTT to watch it for the second or third time. States where this film could not be released. Because of OTT, now people there will also be able to watch it. After ‘The Kerala Story’, I am getting a lot of love from people. After the success of this film, I started getting more offers. In terms of earnings, ‘The Kerala Story’ is at the top among women-centric films.

At what height do you want to see yourself as an actress?
I am happy with the heights I have reached today. In the coming days, I want to reach that height where the audience wants to see me. ‘Now everyone is appreciating my work.’ If you criticize my work, I will accept it. And I will try to improve myself. Every film of mine is giving me an opportunity to do this. In my upcoming film Bastar: The Naxal Story, I am playing the role of a police officer. Hopefully I will be able to surprise the audience again with this character.

Do you ever fear that one day you may stop getting work?
You won’t believe it. After every film I do, I think that this may be my last film. I may not get the next film. Life can change in an instant. It could be good, it could be bad, anything. This is the special thing about this profession. This is the reason why I have not made work my life. I do a lot of other things too. I am involved in animal care. I also keep myself busy in dancing.

You are adept in all types of dance from classical to western, are you not offered any film based on dance?
No, no such offer has been received. I have not been offered any film where I can showcase my dance completely. I am waiting for such a project. I only got a chance to show my acting ability for so long. I hope that this time I will get a chance to show my dance.

Apart from Bollywood, you have also worked in South films. What do you find to be the difference between these two film worlds?

I have worked with good and bad people in both the industries. It all depends on the team. My first film ‘1920’ was directed by Vikram Bhatt, and ‘The Kerala Story’ was directed by Sudipto. Both of them are very disciplined. If the time to come on the set is 9 o’clock, then everyone will have to be present on the set according to the clock. According to many people, there are less rules and discipline in Bollywood. My experience does not say so.

Actresses are often targeted on social media. How do you deal with trolling?
If you look at my social media pages, you’ll see that if one person gives me a negative comment, ten people respond. Many people fight trolls for me. This is my achievement as an actress.
