Child referred from Habra died in BC Rai Hospital
The one-year-three-month-old child was referred to BC Rai Hospital from Habra State General Hospital on Thursday night. He was a resident of Machlandpur in North 24 Parganas. The child was having fever, cold and difficulty in breathing. He was ill for the last one week. He died at BC Rai Hospital at 11 am on Friday.

After this, another child died at 12 noon. This child, a resident of Kamal Ghazi under Sonarpur police station of South 24 Parganas, had fever and shortness of breath. At the same time, a child resident of Sasan of North 24 Parganas died late on Thursday night.
Adeno virus outbreak not in Kolkata: Mayor
Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim told reporters in the Municipal Corporation that there is no outbreak of adeno virus in Kolkata. The situation in Kolkata is normal. The children admitted in the hospitals of Kolkata are residents of different districts of the state. Infants who died of this infection were suffering from malnutrition and other comorbidities.

Under the leadership of Councilor Sajal Ghosh, BJP supporters demonstrated in front of BC Rai Hospital. After this, a delegation led by Sajal Ghosh met the hospital management.
