It has been exclusively learned that the director is preparing a project for the pair. However, it is not yet known whether it is a remake or the original script. But, seeing both the actors together again on screen is definitely an exciting development for fans.
Earlier, the Biwi No. 1 director directed his son Varun opposite Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No. 1 (2020), a reboot of the 1995 film of the same name directed by David. The film was released on Prime Video and received extremely negative reviews from critics and audiences. However now David Dhawan is planning to bring Varun and Janhvi together for an exciting project, the details of which are kept under wraps.
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor were last seen in Nitesh Tiwari-directed Bawal, which released in 2023. The film was released on Prime Video and received mixed reviews.
On Varun and Janhvi’s work front
Talking about work front, Varun is shooting for Atlee’s film these days. The untitled film, currently known as ‘VD18’, is scheduled to release next year. On the other hand, Janhvi is awaiting the release of ‘Mr & Mrs Mahie’ with Rajkummar Rao and Devara with Jr NTR. Both the films are going to be released this year.
