After Fighter and Animal, Anil Kapoor will play the lead role in the action drama film Subedar. Deets inside

After the huge success of action films Animal and Fighter, legendary actor Anil Kapoor is all set to be seen in another film. Prime Video on Tuesday announced nearly 70 new titles that will release on the platform in the remainder of 2024, including Subedaar, starring Anil Kapoor in the lead role.

The official announcement was made at an event organized by Prime Video in Mumbai. Anil Kapoor’s first look poster was also released on social media, in which the actor is seen giving an intense look holding a rifle in his hands. The film is directed by Suresh Triveni, known for making comedy dramas like Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa, both of which were headlined by Vidya Balan.

Anil Kapoor is not only starring in the film but is also working as one of the producers of Subedaar along with Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni.The veteran actor was last seen in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Fighter, which became the first Bollywood film of 2024 to gross over Rs 100 crore. Earlier he was seen playing the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father. The film was a massive success at the box office and became one of the highest grossing Hindi films of all time.

He will also be seen in Animal’s sequel Animal Park. Apart from these, she has several big projects in her kitty including Housefull 5, Takht and a biopic on Abhinav Bindra. Anil Kapoor will also star in Abhinaydev’s directorial venture Tum Hi Ho, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Atul Sharma in lead roles.
