Rajkumar Hirani, who worked with Ranbir Kapoor in the 2018 film Sanju, said in a recent interview with India Today that he would “definitely love to do another film” with Ranbir. The actor, who is currently riding high on the success of Animal, has reportedly earned ₹541.87 crore in India and ₹885 crore worldwide since its release on December 1, reports Sacnilk.com .
Talking about working with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanju, the filmmaker said, “Ranbir is an absolute sweetheart. We had a great time making Sanju. I would definitely love to do another film with him. I have some scripts and we are in touch. So let’s see where this goes. Sometimes, it happens that you start writing a particular script and it goes nowhere and then you start writing another script and it becomes something. So yes, I love Ranbir.”
Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, titled Sanju and starring Ranbir Kapoor, has grossed ₹342.57 crore in India and grossed ₹588.5 crore worldwide, reports Sacnilk.com. The film starred Paresh Rawal as Sanjay’s father, actor-politician Sunil Dutt, while Manisha Koirala played Sanjay’s mother, actor Nargis. The star cast also included Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and others.
This year also marks the filmmaker’s 20th year in the industry. Celebrating the same, a few weeks ago many actors including Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan had sent him warm wishes for his success. Ranbir Kapoor, who previously worked with Hirani in Sanju, shared, “In the film industry, having had the privilege of working with you, I can guarantee that there is no better human being – more selfless , nice and hard working.”
