Colombo. Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka praised Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj for his dangerous spell of 6-21.

In the final of Asia Cup 2023, Indian fast bowlers performed in such a way that the world kept watching. Due to bad weather, the reserve day for the final match, which was kept to complete 100 overs, was completed by Team India in just 20-22 overs.

In Colombo, Team India bowled out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in just 15.2 overs. Sri Lanka’s back was broken by Mohammad Siraj who took 6 wickets for just 21 runs. Apart from them, Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket.

Then, while chasing the target, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill wrote the story of India’s victory in just 6.1 overs. With this, India captured the Asia Cup for the eighth time.
