Mumbai: Bollywood couple Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha will launch their own fashion brand, which will focus more on local artisans. With their label, the couple will breathe new life into one of the oldest art forms in Indian culture. The couple aims to rejuvenate the local artisans of Lucknow. Regarding this, actress Richa Chadha said: ‘Whatever we both have done, we have always tried to work for the people at the grassroots level. We always want to promote the local community. Our social efforts are also something which we try to do from the grassroots level to the legal level.

The actress said, ‘When we thought of doing something for the artisans, especially those of Lucknow who have a wealth of art, we wanted this label to showcase their talent.’ Richa said that she and her husband have always admired the art of local artisans, especially the exquisite workmanship in the clothes.

The actress further said in her statement, ‘In today’s times, local art is becoming extinct. With technology and mass production taking over, artisans are struggling to survive. So we want to give it a new look and help the community showcase their work, their art, their talent.
