Allu Arjun said about Pushpa, today we can wait for its 3rd part

Many such films are going to be released this year for which the audience is eagerly waiting. These include South Indian as well as Hindi films. In the list of these films, there is the next part of Pushpa, which will be released in the year 2021, which will be presented in the name of Pushpa: The Rule. Now South Indian star Allu Arjun has talked about plans to expand the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, which was first released in 2021. Talking about ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Arjun said: “You can definitely look forward to the third part, we want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup.”

Speaking to Variety, the actor said, “A reel from the Pushpa franchise is being screened at the Berlin European Film Market to establish it as a brand for the international audience. There will also be a fan screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1’.

Arjun will be attending a film festival for the first time.

Arjun said, “I just want to see how people watch this film abroad. Want to try to understand how they see Indian cinema, just want to understand how film festivals are done and what kind of films are watched. What is the mentality of the people coming there?

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, directed by Sukumar, tells the story of Pushpa Raj (Arjun), who is a labourer. He joins a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate and encounters an arrogant police officer.

After being a hit domestically in India and in overseas markets like the US, UK and UAE, ‘Pushpa: The Rise Part 1’ got a new life when it started streaming on Prime Video.

Arjun said, “The OTT (streaming) reach of Pushpa is many times more than the theatrical reach.”

“Many people may have seen it only once or twice during its theatrical release. But, after it became available on OTT platforms like Amazon, people have watched it many times. Because of the OTT platform, there is a lot of crossover audience from other languages, other regions and neighboring countries. And, it also made a splash because it was the biggest film of 2021 (in India).

Arjun said, “I didn’t find much difference between the way urban Indians saw the film and the way foreigners saw the film. I think urban Indians are similar to the global audience. So whatever things they liked about the film in terms of clarity or performance, I have got a similar response from urban audiences in India and abroad.”

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to release around August 15.
