New Delhi. In the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 15, megastar Amitabh Bachchan called online games an addiction. Also shared about the games he plays with his granddaughter Aaradhya.

In episode 75 of the show, host Amitabh Bachchan welcomed Rupak Kumar from Begusarai, Bihar on the hot seat.

For Rs 5000, contestants were asked: “Which of these pieces is not placed on the squares immediately adjacent to the king at the beginning of a chess game?”

The options given were: Pawn, Rook, Queen and Bishop. The correct answer was ‘Stop’.

Then Rupak said, “Sir, chess has been my hobby since childhood. My father taught me chess in my childhood. He is no longer alive. Earlier I used to play with others but now I don’t have time. That’s why I play online.

“When playing online, I play continuously for 10 to 12 hours. Sir, many times I started playing at 8 pm and continued playing till 5 am the next day. During that time my wife got angry. He warned me not to play chess, otherwise I would be punished.

Big B said, ‘Yes, you are absolutely right. When we play online, we are tempted to play the next game.

Contestant: “Sir, this is an addiction. You are very active on social media.

The ‘Sooryavansham’ actor said, “I am not really active. I just write randomly. Many of my friends and fans talk to me. I answer them.”

Contestant: “Sir, you are very updated. Your energy is amazing.”

Amitabh: “It doesn’t require much energy. I just type text. Someone advised me to join that platform, so I write sometimes.

Contestant: “I want to ask you something.” I like chess. I am amazed to see my five-year-old daughter Rupika, she lays out the entire chess board. She arranges all the pieces. She arranges all the pieces in their places and says, ‘Dad, I play.’ Although she can’t actually play the game. Sir, do you play chess with your granddaughter Aaradhya?

The 81-year-old actor said: ”I don’t play chess much because I’m not good at it. But yes, I play other games with them.
