Animal: Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal creates a new record, surpasses Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan

Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Trupti Dimri starrer Animal created a ruckus at the box office upon its release. The film danced well at the box office.
Animal has made many records since its release. Now Ranbir Kapoor’s film has done another miracle. The film has become the second highest grossing film of 2023, surpassing Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan.
Pathan’s total Bharat collection was around Rs 543.05 crore. Animal overtook Pathan in 31 days. According to industry tracker Saknilk, the total collection of Animal is currently Rs 544.93 crore.
This film was released in theaters worldwide on 1 December 2023. The exact OTT release date for ‘Animal’ has not been confirmed yet, but films often hit streaming platforms around 45 to 60 days after their theatrical release.
Animal did a business of Rs 880 crore worldwide. Highest grossing A-rated Indian film of all time. Despite having an adult rating (A-rating), and running time of over three hours, the film bombed at the box office.
The film tells the story of a man who seeks validation from his emotionally distant father. It is told that when an attempt is made to murder the father, he moves heaven and earth to eliminate his enemies.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared a note on his ex (Twitter). Thanked the audience for making the film successful. He shared a poster of Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal with the words “Happy New Year”.
Sam Bahadur was released in theaters along with Animal. However, Vicky Kaushal’s film lagged behind Ranbir Kapoor’s film. The movie could not show anything special.
Director Sandeep Reddy has told that the OTT version will have an extended version with all the scenes. He said, ‘I am currently editing the Netflix version, there will be some more shots in it.
Sandeep Reddy said, I should have kept the version of 3 hours 30 minutes, but due to pressure I had to cut 8-9 minutes. I’m using that footage for the Netflix version of Animals.
