Superintendent of Police (SP) Yashveer Singh told ANI, Subhash Chandra Tiwari’s body was found in his hotel room when the staff opened it. Allegedly the director did not respond to anyone and hence the police had to break open the door. in the room when they found him dead. The body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death. Further investigation will be done after getting the post mortem report. Yashveer Singh said, “No injury is visible on his body. The cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Bhojpuri filmmaker Subhash Chandra Tiwari (60) was found dead in his hotel room in the city on Wednesday morning, Inspector in-charge of Robertsganj police station Manoj Kumar Singh told here. Police told that he was a resident of Varanasi. He along with his 40-member crew had stayed at the hotel since May 11 last in connection with the shooting of his film Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. Singh told that the shooting of the film was over on Tuesday itself. He said that earlier he had suffered chest pain, on which he was admitted to a local hospital.

Singh said that he had returned to the hotel after completing the shoot on Tuesday evening, but the staff posted there informed the hotel owner when the door of his room did not open till around 10 am on Wednesday. The hotel operator informed the Robertsganj Kotwali police about the matter. Singh told that when the police opened the door after cutting the part near the latch of the door, they saw Tiwari’s body lying on the bed. Inspector-in-charge said that the matter is being investigated and the cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem.

This week has been a harsh one for the entertainment industry, with many actors losing their livery. Earlier on Monday, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay died after a road accident after her car fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh. A few days before that, actor Aditya Singh Rajput, known for the reality show Splitsvilla, was found dead in his bathroom.
