Let us tell you that Rupali Ganguly is the daughter of film director Anil Ganguly. The actress started her acting career as a child at the age of seven in her father’s film Saheb in 1985. She acted in several films as a teenager, including Angara and Do Aankhen Barah Haath. Ganguly found success in 2002 after making her television debut with the role of medical intern Dr. Simran Chopra in the medical series Sanjeevani. She gained recognition in 2004 with her role as Monisha Singh Sarabhai in the sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. She has been a part of many Hindi theater plays in her career and some of her plays are Oye Ki Girl Hain, Selfie and Patte Khul Gaye Hai.

Rupali continued to act in several successful television series, notably Baa Bahu Aur Baby, and Parvarish – Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, after which she took a sabbatical from acting. After a gap of seven years, she returned with the soap opera Anupamaa.
