Anurag Kashyap was dropped from Salman Khan’s film Tere Naam

Mumbai Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is promoting his film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’, revealed how he was dropped from Salman Khan starrer ‘Tere Naam’.
It was around 2002, when Anurag was directing the film ‘Tere Naam’. Looking at Salman Khan’s character, he wanted Salman Khan not to shave his chest hair, as his character ‘Radhe’ is from Uttar Pradesh, so it was necessary to make the character look real.
Salman being a superstar did not agree with his view. When the producers of the film came to know that Anurag had advised Salman not to shave his chest hair, they dropped him from the film.
But, Anurag has no complaints about it. He told YouTuber Samdish Bhatia that he is a fan of films like ‘Sultan’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Dabangg’. ‘Dabangg’ is directed by Anurag’s brother Abhinav Kashyap.
Anurag also talked about Shah Rukh Khan and revealed that the ‘Pathan’ star was his college senior.
He said, whenever he calls, I stand up while taking the call. He is like an elder brother to me. He keeps telling me what I should not do. He told me why I shouldn’t be on Twitter. Everyone who cares about me wants me to see life the way they do (IANS)
