The Mumbai Traffic Police on Wednesday, May 17, challaned Anushka Sharma’s bodyguard Sonu Sheikh and fined him Rs 10,500 for riding a bike without a helmet and without a licence. On Monday, Anushka was seen riding a bike with her bodyguard after the road was blocked. After the video was shared online and went viral, users questioned him for not wearing a helmet. Now two days after the incident, the Mumbai Traffic Police issued a challan against Anushka’s bodyguard. Both were not wearing helmets. While the fine for not riding a bike with a helmet is Rs 500, the fine for driving without a valid license is around Rs 10,000.

It takes a lot of bravery. Another wrote, ‘How and why the challan was issued with section 5/180 and section 3(1)/181 without any enquiry? How do you know that the bike rider does not have a driving license. Another said, ‘I think even if a celebrity is breaking any kind of rules, they should be treated normally like any other human being. Irrespective of any kind of power, the rules should be same for all.
Big B was also in trouble!
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had also shared a photo of himself on social media, in which he was seen riding a bike without wearing a helmet. He wrote in the caption, ‘Thanks for the ride boy… don’t know you… but you obliged and got me to my place of work on time… avoiding the fast and intractable traffic jams. … Thank you Caped, shorts and yellow T-shirt owner.
Amitabh Bachchan clarified
As soon as Big B shared this photo, he came under attack from the users. He was criticized for not wearing a helmet. After this the Mumbai Police came into action. He had assured through social media that he would take action. After this, Amitabh Bachchan later clarified in his blog that all official permissions were taken for the shooting of the film in South Mumbai and he was not breaking any law.
Anushka to debut at Cannes Film Festival
On the work front, Anushka Sharma was last seen in a cameo in the movie ‘Kala’ (2022). It will debut at the Cannes Film Festival later this month. It is being told that she will present the award along with Hollywood actress Kate Winslet in this event being held in the French Riviera.
