Servile thriller is a favorite genre of western cinema, but very few films have been made on it in Hindi cinema. This list has definitely increased in recent years. Names like NH 10, Trap, Pihu and Mili, In Car are included in this and now Apoorva has also registered her name in this list. The biggest requirement of a servile thriller is a story full of twists and turns, which does not give you a chance to blink an eye. The story of this film has become predictable, but it keeps you engaged. This cannot be denied. The excellent acting of the actors, the length of the film and the lesson for women in the film also makes this film worth watching once.
A woman’s adventurous story of saving herself from dreaded criminals.
The story of the film is about Apoorva (Tara Sutaria), who is going from Gwalior to Agra to surprise her fiance Sid (Dhairya Karva) on his birthday because her fiance works in Agra, the bus by which she is going to Agra. The driver and conductor of that bus are murdered by four miscreants and their evil eye also falls on Apoorva. They kidnap her and take her to a deserted place so that they can rape her but Apoorva somehow escapes from there but the trouble for Apoorva does not end here. These four dreaded criminals are after him and this deserted place is completely like a maze for him. Will she be able to save herself from these dreaded criminals? How will all this happen? This journey of Apoorva has been shown in this story of one night.
Advantages and disadvantages of the film
The story of the film is women centric. The theme of the film is powerful as well as important. Videos of youth misbehaving with women are common on social media every day. This film emphasizes that women should not lose courage in the worst situations. With just a little courage and wisdom, they can change the situation. Despite being a servile thriller, the film is not only full of violence and horror but also an attempt has been made to lighten the film in between with moments from Apoorva’s life and her engagement with Sid (Dhairya Karwa). One of the strengths of the film is its length, which is less than two hours, due to which you remain connected to the film from beginning to end. Talking about the shortcomings, the story has become predictable, which has reduced the mystery and thrill. The songs and music of the film have also been average.
Great performance by artists
Tara Sutaria’s image has been that of a glamorous actress, but in this film she has performed contrary to her image. The title role of the film is his and he has done complete justice to it. From his character’s fear to his weakness, courage and repentance, he has lived it all in every scene. Rajpal Yadav and Abhishek Banerjee have shone in the negative roles. Sumit and Aditya have also done good work. There was nothing special for Dhairya Karva to do in the film.
