Chennai: Music Guru Ar. Rahman responded to the confusion during his concert ‘Marakkamma Nenjaam’ on Sunday night. Show organisers, ACTC Events, issued a statement thanking Rahman for his show and apologizing to the fans who missed his entry due to confusion over his entry. Could not attend the concert.
ACTC Events said in its post on X (formerly Twitter), ‘Grateful to Chennai and AR Rahman sir. The incredible response, the huge crowd made our show a huge success. We sincerely apologize for those who could not attend due to crowding. We take full responsibility. We are with you. Marakkumma Nenjam.’
Rahman shared the post without any comment and also reposted a fan’s message thanking him as a memento. Many fans were furious after not being able to get entry to the concert. He complained that the show’s tickets were oversold. This was a major failure of the organisers. The concert took place at Adityaram Palace, Chennai.
Many fans were disappointed and angry at not being able to attend the concert due to overcrowding. Fans who had purchased tickets at the rate of Rs 2000 were also unable to enter and many complained about the poor management of the event. He also blamed AR Rahman’s team for poor management.
