Arbaaz Khan spoke openly on nepotism, ‘We may not be as successful as Salman Khan but we are still here’

Arbaaz Khan recently spoke openly about nepotism and told how wrong it is to give credit for an actor’s success to his family. Arbaaz-Sohle is the son of screenwriter Salim Khan and brother of superstar Salman Khan. Recently, in an interview with Times India, Arbaaz said that if your father is not just from the film industry but from some special field, then some doors may remain open for you. Your father may have been a doctor, a lawyer, which will give you access to others in those professions. Similarly, as an actor, it was possible for him to meet someone he wanted because of his father. But this did not guarantee work.

Arbaaz said that this may help you in taking a break but it will not make anyone’s career. “Sohail and I may not be as successful as other superstars or our brother Salman Khan for that matter, but we are still here. We are working and busy with other things. No one does anyone any favors,” Arbaaz Khan addressed the instability of Bollywood by saying that no matter which Bollywood legend you belong to, no one will give you a role if the audience doesn’t want to feel your acting on screen.

The actor said, “It would be wrong to say that if an actor is successful, it is because of his connections or nepotism. Even a superstar goes through a phase where 10 of his films flop and he doesn’t know what to do. Then how can they favor or help the relatives of any other celebrity?”

Both Arhaan Khan and Nirvaan Khan will enter this industry.

Arbaaz further said that if a handful of actors achieved success as someone’s son or brother, there are hundreds of sons and brothers who did not succeed in the industry. He then revealed that both Arhaan Khan and Nirvaan Khan, the next generation of the Khan family, are currently preparing themselves. Arhaan is the son of Arbaaz and ex-wife Malaika Arora. Nirvana is the son of Sohail and his ex-wife Seema Sajdeh. In the same interview, Sohail mentioned that Nirvana has recently completed his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and over the next two to three years, he will be assisting a director of his choice in Mumbai. After taking training for about a year, he will start working.
