Arjun Rampal said on the failure of Dhakad, I am proud of the film

Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad failed at the box office when it released in 2022. The film also featured Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta and Sharib Hashmi. Though the film was made on a big budget, it failed to do well at the box office. Last year on May 20, Dhakad clashed with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 at the box office.

Nearly a year after its release, Arjun Rampal finally broke his silence on the debacle of his film Dhakad. The actor admitted that it hurt him when the film didn’t do well.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Arjun Rampal said, it was an expensive film, so yes it was sad when it didn’t do well. I don’t think it deserves the performance it did. At that time there was a period of epidemic. The success of the film was in doubt at that time. Dhaakad was one of the first few films to come out after the pandemic. People were probably scared to go to the theatres.

The actor further added, “We also cannot forget that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did really well. Maybe we screened the film at the wrong time. Every film has its destiny, and you just have to accept it and move on. The reality is that I’m proud of it, it’s not a film I wouldn’t be proud of.

On the work front, Arjun Rampal will next be seen in Battle of Bhima Koregaon. Digangana Suryavanshi and Sunny Leone will be seen with him. He also has Crack with Jacqueline Fernandez and Vidyut Jammwal.
