Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited film Ramayan. Actor Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic TV show, Ramayan, has now reacted to Ranbir playing the role of Lord Ram in the upcoming film adaptation. During a media interaction, Arun Govil was asked about his views on Ranbir playing the role of Lord Ram in Ramayana.
He said, “Whether that may happen or not, time will tell.” Nothing can be said in advance. But as far as Ranbir is concerned, he is a good actor. He is an award winning actor. As far as I know them, they are very cultured children. They have morality, values and culture within them. I have seen him many times. “I am sure he will try to perform at his level best,” he said.
Apart from Ranbir, Sai Pallavi or Janhvi Kapoor will reportedly play the role of Goddess Sita in the film. Earlier, a report in Pinkvilla suggested that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the role of Ravana’s brother Vibhishana.
