Ayan Mukherjee releases big update from Brahmastra 2 on completion of one year of Alia-Ranbir’s film

Filmmaker Ayan Mukherjee celebrated one year of 2022’s superhit film ‘Brahmastra’. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt played the lead roles in this film. ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ was a big budget film. September 9 marks one year of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Brahmastra’ – a film that revived the financially flailing Bollywood to financial recovery. On this special day, director Ayan Mukherjee gave a big update about ‘Brahmastra 2’ on social media.

Ayan Mukerji updates ‘Brahmastra 2’

As ‘Brahmastra’ completes one year, Ayan Mukherjee gives a big update on the film’s development. Showing glimpses of the early concept work of the film, he wrote, “Brahmastra – Part Two: Dev Early Concept Art Work, working continuously on the vision and story of Brahmastra 2 & 3 for the last few months! On this special day! Team Brahmastra So, we felt like sharing some of our key inspiration photos.”

Mukherjee (40) has already announced two upcoming films in this series which will be released in the year 2026 and 2027. Mukherjee shared a video of some of the popular scenes from the film on social media platform Instagram. A message at the end read, “Work is in progress on the second and third parts of Brahmastra.” The filmmaker captioned the video, “Congratulations on the first anniversary of Brahmastra.” Thank you for all the creativity, hard work and all the lessons in filmmaking and life. Will share some opening scenes of the next phase of Brahmastra film journey soon.

The film ‘Brahmastra’ follows the story of Shiva (Kapoor) who embarks on a journey with Isha (Bhatt) to find out the origin of his special powers. Shiva falls in love with Isha at first sight. ‘Brahmastra’ was produced under the banner of Star Studios and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and also featured actor Amitabh Bachchan and actress Mouni Roy. Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna were seen in special roles in this film. On the occasion of the film’s one year anniversary, Johar said that making ‘Brahmastra’ was a labor of love.

The filmmaker wrote on Instagram, “This film is truly an experience, a journey and a story shared from the heart. There is a bunch of people giving their best to create magic on the big screen. The power of love and light will continue to shine like this.” ‘Brahmastra’, which has earned over Rs 400 crore worldwide, was one of the big earners for the Hindi film industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
