Ayodhya’s Rishi Singh gets ‘Indian Idol 13’ trophy, check of 25 lakhs

Mumbai (Best Hindu News): Rishi Singh from Ayodhya, whose Arijit Singh-like voice and singing style includes star cricketer Virat Kohli among his fans, was declared the winner of ‘Indian Idol 13’ late on Sunday night. Rishi, who has been a favorite since the beginning, took home a check of Rs 25 lakh and a car. Debasmita Roy and Chirag Kotwal were the first and second runners-up. Others to make it to the grand finale show are Sonakshi Kar, Shivam Singh and Bidipta Chakraborty.
The popular reality show was judged by Himesh Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar. One of the highlights of the show was Rishi’s story of how he was adopted by his parents. As he said, otherwise I would not have been singing, I would have been dying somewhere.
Rishi said that he came to know about his past as a theater rounder of the reality show recently. That’s when his parents shared with him the biggest truth of their life. Rishi shared with the world, I know that without him I would not be here. He is like a god to me.
Today, Rishi Singh is one of the 255 people whom Virat Kohli follows on social media. In fact, by adopting Rishi, the parents gave him a life that he could not even dream of.
