New Delhi. Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam is currently playing in the Pakistan Super League. He created history in T20 cricket during this league and also made a big record in his name.

Babar Azam on Wednesday became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in the T20 format, leaving behind former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle.

Babar achieved this milestone in 271 innings. Whereas, it took 285 innings for Chris Gayle to achieve this feat.

India’s Virat Kohli is at third place in this list, who played 299 innings to achieve this position.

Babar, who plays for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), needed only six runs to create the world record. He achieved this feat in the PSL match against Karachi Kings.

Overall, the former Pakistan captain became the 13th player to score 10,000 runs in the shortest format. In which Gayle is at the top with 14,562 runs, while Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik is at third place in the list with 13,159 runs.
