First season of IVPL from 23 February, many big names including Sehwag-Raina and Gayle included

Greater Noida. The first season of the Indian Veteran Premier League will be held in Greater Noida from 23 February. In this tournament, veteran cricketers including Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Herschelle Gibbs and Chris Gayle are all set to return to the cricket field to entertain the fans and create some memorable moments in the first edition.

From Virender Sehwag’s explosive batting, to Raina’s fast fielding and Chris Gayle’s tremendous six-hitting ability, every player has a special skill.

His presence not only adds star power to the league but also creates a sense of excitement among the fans.

Additionally, along with these cricketing legends, IVPL will also showcase the skills of emerging talents and players who are yet to make their mark on the cricket field.

This mix of seasoned veterans and promising young players promises to make the IVPL an exciting event, providing a platform for talent to shine and stories to unfold.

Organized by the Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI) and managed by 100 Sports, the IVPL is scheduled to begin from February 23 to March 3 at the cricket stadium of Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida.

IVPL will see tough competition between six strong teams. Which include- VVIP Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Legends, Red Carpet Delhi, Chhattisgarh Warriors, Telangana Tigers and Mumbai Champions.

Sehwag will captain Mumbai Champions. At the same time, Chris Gayle will be seen captaining the Telangana Tigers.

Raina has the command of VVIP Uttar Pradesh. Former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs will captain the Red Carpet Delhi team.

In the first match of IVPL, there will be an exciting clash between Sehwag’s Mumbai Champions and Chris Gayle’s Telangana Tigers.

The IVPL finals will be played on March 3 and will have double headers every day, except the first day of the tournament.

Each team will compete in five matches during the league stage before progressing to the semi-finals on March 2, where the top four teams will compete for coveted spots in the final.
