Ashneer Gowar in his book talks about how his wife Madhuri Jain Grover almost ended their marriage with actress Kiara Advani. The chapter is aptly titled, How I Was About to Get Divorced Because of Kiara Advani. In the chapter, Ashneer talks about meeting a friend and fellow founder at his workplace. As soon as he asked a friend about getting married, his friend told him about a matchmaker whom he had hired like Sima Aunty of Indian Matchmaking. Interestingly, when Grover asked her about her alternate plan, she suggested Kiara Advani as an ideal match.

The matter had reached divorce in the flight

On this, he told his mother that “Aap ko pata nahi hai bazaar mein aaj kal kya chal raha hai…Aaj ke din shaadi hoti hota hai, toh Kiara Advani ka rishta aata aapke bete liye”. Well, this conversation irked Ashneer Grover’s wife Madhuri. The next day, he was to leave for Mumbai and his wife did not speak to him during the entire journey. Ashneer’s wife later asked him, “You have to marry Kiara Advani” and the conversation went on for the next 30 minutes, I kept listening silently.
