Bholaa Box Office Collection Day 8: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan and Tabu’s ‘Bhola’ released on March 30 amidst a lot of expectations. A remake of the hit film Kaithi, Bhola had a great opening but is now faltering. The film has clearly underperformed except for a few positive days. For the past few days, Bhola is earning between Rs 3 crore to Rs 3.5 crore on its single day at the domestic box office. Now soon the film is expected to cross the Rs 60 crore mark.

Bhola received positive response from the audience and critics alike. The film, which was one of the most awaited films of 2023, managed to impress the audience. In its opening week, Bhola earned Rs 44 crore. All eyes were on its performance during the weekdays. The film saw a slight drop on the eighth day, earning Rs 3 crore. After which Bhola’s box office collection went up to Rs 59.68 crore. Meanwhile, the total Hindi occupancy of the film was 8.49 percent in the past.
Will the film succumb at the box office?
Box Office India reported, “The film disappointed on the first day, as it collected an average of 11.20 crores despite the Ram Navami holiday”. The report added, “The film was expected to bounce and it did. The film has registered a jump of 20% in the morning and afternoon, which is a good sign. The film remained strong throughout Saturday and crossed the net of 12.10 crores on the third day. Collected 13.48 crores net at the rate of 12% on Sunday.”

Bhola is the official Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Kaithi’ written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In the film, Ajay Devgan is in the role of a hero, who shakes every villain beyond imagination. It is styled as the story of a “one-man army”, who battles hordes of enemies in various forms, human and otherwise, in one night. The original film revolved around an ex-convict who decides to meet his daughter for the first time after his release from prison, but comes face-to-face with the police and the drug mafia. Tabu has tried her hand at hard core action in the film and has done her own action sequences. Bhola is Ajay’s fourth directorial venture after U, Me Aur Hum in 2008, Shivaay in 2016 and Runway 34 in 2022. The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Vineet Kumar and Gajraj Rao in supporting roles.
