Big relief to Shahrukh Khan! Delhi High Court orders social media platforms to take down leaked clips of ‘Jawan’

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday restrained websites, cable TV platforms, direct to home services as well as ‘John Doe’ defendants from infringing the copyright of ‘Jawan’. Justice C Hari Shankar passed the order after a suit was filed by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s production house ‘Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd’.

The court, in its order, directed social media platforms like YouTube, Google, Twitter and Reddit to take strict steps to prevent dissemination of copyrighted content of the movie ‘Jawan’. Justice C Hari Shankar has ordered several internet service providers to block access to content related to the film.
Two videos were leaked
Red Chillies Entertainment had approached the High Court saying that two video clips related to the film were leaked on social media platforms. The first clip shows a fight sequence involving SRK. The second clip was of a dance sequence, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and the film’s lead actress Nayanthara.

Court Mein further states that there are some photographs and stills, which have been leaked from the sets of the film. It was feared that these social media handles would further distribute more information on the internet. After considering the matter, the judge passed an interim order.
When is ‘Jawan’ releasing?
Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ film is releasing in theaters on June 2 this year. South actress Nayantara is also in this movie made under the direction of Atlee. Also Deepika Padukone will be seen in a special song.
