Although at that time he was unaware that Devi was born with VSD. The ‘Dhoom 2’ actress said that our journey has been very different from that of normal parents. It’s more difficult than the smile I have on my face right now. I do not want this to happen to any mother. I came to know on the third day after the birth of my child that he has two holes in his heart. “The actress further said,” I had decided not to share this, but I am telling it now, because I think there are a lot of mothers who have helped me in this journey…” Talking about VSD, she said, “We were not even able to understand what VSD is. It’s a ventricular septal… We went through a rough patch. We didn’t tell our family anything about this. Both of us were surprised. We wanted to celebrate, but we were very sad.”

“The initial five months were very difficult for us, but Devi was wonderful from day one. We were told that we would have to have scans every month to know whether it was healing on its own or not. But the kind of big hole , we were told it is dangerous, you have to undergo surgery. And it is best to do surgery when the baby is three months old.”
Bipashu cried, “How can you do an open heart surgery on a baby girl? You feel very sad and burdened to think of this. Me and Karan waited for the baby to recover naturally. But in the first and second month we It didn’t give any result. After which we made up our mind that we will get our daughter’s surgery done. The surgery proved successful and now Devi is fine.”
However, later Bipasha smiled again and said that her daughter is very brave and she kept laughing even in such a situation.
