Body building competition: Players from power sector of six states participated, Energy Minister inaugurated it. Loktej Sports News

Lucknow, 28 January (HS). Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma today in Lucknow’s K. Inaugurated the three-day 45th All India Electricity Council Power Lifting and Body Building Competition organized by Uttar Pradesh Power Sector at D. Singh Babu Stadium. A total of 180 players from six states Assam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh are participating in this sports competition.

On this occasion, the Energy Minister said that it is very commendable to participate in sports competitions while serving the public. All of you should organize this type of sports competition in your respective areas, so that more and more players can come with you and you can also establish direct communication with the public.

The Energy Minister inaugurated the three-day (from January 28 to 30, 2024) All India Electricity Council Powerlifting and Body Building Competition organized by Uttar Pradesh Power Sector Sports Control Board by lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon. He said that the game is not played only for winning and losing. Anyone who has made sports an integral part of life gets both physical and mental health benefits.

The Energy Minister said that all the players perform excellently in their respective fields. Not everyone wins, but our performance keeps improving as we play. Wherever all of you are posted or serving, there will be some among the regional people who will be interested in sports and will be performing at some level or the other.

Minister Shri Sharma said that earlier sports were not given much priority. The players also did not get any support in any way. But today you know that Ma. The Prime Minister has done the work of bringing out the hidden talents among us by organizing the Parliamentarian Sports Competition. Along with this, to provide better facilities to sports and players and to improve their performance, along with various schemes, stadiums, sports material, coach facilities and other facilities are also being provided to the players.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Competition Committee K.B. Singh (Director, K.P. and Administration), J.D. Dwivedi (Director, Distribution), C.P. Yadav (Additional Secretary), Shamshad Ahmed (Additional Secretary), V.K. Mishra, Rajkumar Rastogi, Anil Nigam and R.N. A large number of players including Pal and officials of the electricity department were present.
