CCPA took note of an advertisement published in newspapers, which claimed that Lotus 365 is India’s most trusted Sports Exchange since 2015. The CCPA has asked the company to produce evidence. Lotus 365 is also promoted by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Urvashi Rautela and both these actors have been given notice to endorse the company. Urvashi and Nawazuddin have reportedly been asked how they came to know that the company’s claim is true before endorsing it. Consumer Affairs Ministry asked celebs to do ‘specific due diligence’ before signing up for products.
