After such a stormy performance in theatres, top Indian films are now in the race to be selected as India’s official entry for the 96th Academy Awards 2024 to be held in March next year. According to reports, several films including Balagam, The Kerala Story, Zweigato and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani have already been submitted to the committee for review.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday restrained actor Anil Kapoor from misusing his name, picture, voice and other personality traits, including his famous catchphrase “Jhakaas”, for commercial gain. Justice Pratibha M Singh passed the interim order while hearing a suit filed by the actor against several websites and platforms. Kapoor had filed the suit alleging unauthorized exploitation of his personality and celebrity rights for commercial gain.
