Breast cancer became the reason for the death of Femina Miss India Tripura Rinky Chakma, lost the battle of life at the age of 29.

Femina Miss India Tripura 2017 titleholder Rinke Chakma sadly passed away at the age of 29 after her brave battle against cancer. Initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, the cancer spread to her lungs and eventually to her brain, causing a brain tumor. Despite her courageous fight, her health declined and she could not continue chemotherapy. The pageant’s official Instagram account confirmed her passing while honoring her for her grace and determination.

In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, the organization condoled her demise and described her as an extraordinary woman who was the epitome of elegance and purpose. A remarkable woman, Rinki was truly a force to be reckoned with, an embodiment of grace and purpose. Representing Tripura at the Femina Miss India 2017 pageant, she was awarded the title of Miss Beauty with a Purpose, a testament to her impressive efforts and compassionate spirit.

In 2022, Rinke’s life took a major turn when she received a devastating diagnosis of Malignant Phyllodes Tumor, an uncommon form of breast cancer. After surgery to remove the tumor, she had to undergo intensive treatment, including chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer metastasized and spread to his brain. As his health deteriorated, it became impossible to continue chemotherapy. Admitted to Max Hospital Saket on February 22, he was put on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.

Recently, Rinke took to Instagram to appeal for financial assistance for her medical expenses. Her close friend and Femina Miss India 2017 runner-up Priyanka Kumari shared Rinki’s medical report on social media to raise funds for her treatment. He wrote in his post, “Hi, we are raising funds for our friend Rinky Chakma. Her family has lost all their capital as she has been battling cancer for the last two years. She previously had breast cancer for which she was operated on, but it later spread to her lungs and brain. She was taking chemo sessions at AIIMS, Delhi. Unfortunately, her health deteriorated, and she was unable to withstand further chemotherapy, so she was discharged until her health recovered.

Rinki Chakma’s pageant journey began with her victory in the Miss India Tripura 2017 pageant. As a finalist in the Miss India pageant, she earned recognition by winning two sub-titles: Miss Congeniality and Beauty with a Purpose. Notably, in the same year Manushi Chhillar won both the Miss World and Miss India World titles.
