Case filed against Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments

Mumbai Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, known for films like ‘Pink’, ‘Haseena Dilruba’ and many others, has been booked for hurting religious sentiments.
According to the complainant, the actress wore a red neckline dress with a heavy gold neckpiece around her neck, in which the idol of Maa Lakshmi was made.
The ‘Manmarziyaan’ actress uploaded a picture and a video from her ramp walk at the Lakme Fashion Week held in Mumbai on March 14. Religious organization Hind Rakshak Sangathan has accused Pannu of violating religious sentiments and spreading obscenity.
The allegation was made by Eklavya Singh Gaur, convenor of Hind Rakshak Sangathan Indore, who is the son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur. Police said that they have received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur against actress Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of religion.
Taapsee is yet to issue any reaction or statement on the legal action.(IANS)
