According to a report in ETimes, Pandit said, “We have shown the legs of a dead body, which the CBFC has asked to remove. A reference to the Quran has been asked to be removed. There is something else regarding animal welfare, But that is not important. The important thing is that it is a National Award-winning film. You have issued a censor certificate to the film. The same scenes are there in the trailer. So, how can you reject the trailer?” He said “We will be releasing the trailer digitally anyway. Earlier we were going to release it in PVR, but now we will release it in The Club, Andheri. At present, the trailer has been released online.

Expressing displeasure over the censor board’s decision, Pandit said, “We are going to tear apart the censor board tomorrow.” Who are these people sitting there? This is a very serious matter. All the officers of the Censor Board are responsible for this decision of denying certification to the trailer of a National Award winning film. The film also won an award in the Indian Panorama section at IFFI. How can you deny the censor certificate of that film? Something is wrong with the Censor Board and Prasoon Joshi is responsible. There are some black sheep in the Censor Board.” Despite the trailer having the same tone and gist as the film (72 Hoorain), the CBFC has already cleared the film. So the makers were completely taken aback by the refusal. The makers announced that they will now take up the issue with higher authorities for support.
