Sabudana Khichdi
1 cup sago
¾ cup water
½ cup peanuts
1 tsp sugar
rock salt as per taste
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin
few curry leaves
1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
2 green chilies (finely chopped)
1 potato (boiled and cubed)
½ lemon
2 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)
Method

First of all, to soak sago, take 1 cup of sago in a bowl and wash it with water and put ¾ cup of water and keep it for 6 hours.

After the sabudana gets soaked well, take it out of the water.

In a heavy bottomed pan roast ½ cup peanuts on low flame till the peanuts become completely crisp, and put in a mixer jar, add the dal and powder to a coarse peanut powder, peanuts in the soaked sago Add powder. Adding groundnut powder will help in absorbing excess moisture if present.

Add 1 tsp sugar and 3/4 tsp salt and keep it aside.

Now heat ghee in a large pan, add cumin seeds and some curry leaves, add 1 inch ginger, green chillies and potatoes and fry till light golden brown.

Add the sago-peanut mixture and cook slowly on a low flame

Add half lemon and 2 tbsp green coriander, mix well and serve.
Sago pudding
1/4 cup sago
4 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp dried fruits (mixed)
How to make Sabudana Kheer

Soak sago in water for 30 minutes.

Cook the soaked sago in a cup of water till it becomes soft.

Add milk, sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well till the milk thickens.

Cook it till it boils. Garnish with dry fruits and serve.
Ingredients of Sabudana Thalipeeth
1 tsp chili powder
1½ cups Sabudana, washed, soaked for 8-10 hours and drained
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
½ cup roasted peanuts, coarsely ground
1 tsp cumin
rock salt as per taste
½ lemon
4-5 small potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
How to make Sabudana Thalipeeth

Take out the soaked sago in a big bowl, add green coriander, peanuts, cumin seeds, salt, Tata Sampann chili powder, squeeze lemon juice and add potatoes to it and mix till soft dough is formed.

Take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Place the dough on the griddle, press it and spread it evenly to make a small disc.

Heat the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle some oil and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp.

Gently turn the thalipeeth and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes or till the other side turns golden brown and crisp.
Sabudana Vada
2 cucumbers, peeled
salt to taste
2 tbsp roasted and crushed peanuts
2 tbsp grated coconut
½ tbsp sugar
2-3 green chilies
½ tbsp ghee
½ tsp cumin
Method

Cut the cucumber and put it in a bowl. Add salt and keep it aside for five to ten minutes.

Squeeze out the excess water from the cucumber and put it in a mixing bowl. Add peanuts, coconut, sugar and green chillies and mix well.

For tempering, heat ghee in a small non stick pan and add cumin seeds. When they change color, pour the tempering over the cucumber mixture and mix well.

Pour into serving bowl and serve hot.
