  • Curd – 2 cups (approx)

  • Tamarind chutney – as required

  • Sugar – 2 tsp

  • Roasted Cumin Powder

  • Oil for frying – 2 tsp

  • Green coriander – for garnishing

Method for making Fruity Dahi Bhalle of Sama Rice and Sabudana

  • To make Dahi Bhalla, first take one cup of Sama rice, 1/4 cup of Sabudana.

  • Grind Sama’s rice and sago in a mixer.

  • Fry this mixture on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

  • Now take out the mixture in a separate utensil to cool down and keep it aside.

  • Add finely chopped green chilies and grated ginger to it.

  • Pour 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan, when the oil becomes hot, add green chilies and ginger and fry.

  • When it gets fried, then add the fried sago mixture and rock salt.

Keep these things in mind while making Dahi Bhalla

Keep in mind that add twice as much water as the amount of sago powder taken and keep stirring it well. Meanwhile, keep the flame on low, otherwise there may be lumps in your mixture. When the mixture mixes well, keep stirring the gas continuously so that the mixture does not stick to the bottom. When the mixture becomes thick enough to make vadas, then turn off the gas. Now take out this mixture in a separate utensil and let it cool. When the mixture cools down, grate the boiled potatoes and mix them in this mixture. Potatoes will not disintegrate when put in a large pan. Applying oil on your hands, beat the mixture well by rubbing it with your hands. Dahi bhalle will become soft only after beating it well. When the mixture is completely ready, grease your hands with oil and take a little mixture in your hands and make balls of your desired size. Now put oil in a pan on the gas and fry it on medium flame.
