Today, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, the last lunar eclipse of the year is taking place. Lunar eclipse is considered very important from both religious and scientific point of view.

The lunar eclipse in UP will start at 01.06 am on 29 October 2023 and will continue till 02.22 am. According to beliefs, Sutak period starts 9 hours before the eclipse.
In such a situation, its effect will start becoming visible from 28th October i.e. Sharad Purnima. Sutak will start from 2.52 pm on the day of Sharad Purnima which will end only after the eclipse ends.
People will be able to have kheer only after the salvation of the eclipse at 2:24 pm, but before that they will have to wash the house with water and also take a bath.
