Crew Movie Review: The trio of Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu won people’s hearts… read the review before planning the film – Dainik Savera Times

Mumbai : Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu’s film Crew has been released in theaters today. The film revolves around three colleagues who work as air hostesses at Kohinoor Airlines, which is embroiled in controversy. He has not received his salary for half a year and is on the verge of personal bankruptcy along with three other members of his team.

Geeta Sethi (Tabu), Jasmine Bajwa (Kareena Kapoor Khan) and Divya Rana (Kriti Sanon) are part of the crew of Kohinoor Airlines, a thinly veiled stand-in of the now defunct, real Kingfisher Airlines, Whose Chairman (Saswat Chatterjee), is an even more thinly veiled stand-in for ‘fugitive’ billionaire Vijay Mallya. The film’s writers, Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri, don’t bother to do any sneaky things, having their character Vijay Walia, who pretends to be an absconder, declared bankrupt, leaving thousands of employees in trouble. Are.

The Crew is being touted to be a heist comedy. Although it has many interesting heist scenes, there is almost zero humor in it. Most of the jokes don’t land. When you reach the second part, you are already engrossed in the monotony and wish that a miracle happens and the story changes. We are sorry to inform you that this is not the case. Actors like Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, who have made their mark with their excellent comic timing, are wasted here. Tabu’s Geeta is given some funny one-liners and local slang, but even they don’t make you laugh every now and then. Unfortunately, the music isn’t memorable either.

That being said, The Crew is a great movie worth watching. Tabu, Kareena and Kriti look stunning and kudos to the costume department for that! The women involved in bringing the film together – co-producers Rhea Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor and co-writer Nidhi Mehra deserve praise. Because femininity in Crew has never been used to make heavy rhetoric on modern-day feminism, while women have been portrayed as ambitious and outspoken beings and sisterhood has been celebrated. The main characters are flawed and relatable but not undesirable.

The Crew interestingly depicts the upper middle class and their relationship with money, morality and a job that enslaves them for life. The crew presents a remix of ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ from Subhash Ghai’s 1993 film Khalnayak starring Madhuri Dixit and Neena Gupta. Reacting to the new version, Ila Arun, who sang the iconic song, told India Today, “People have loved Kareena dancing to the song, but how can I forget it? You may call me old, but the original song is heart-touching. Here Kareena is having fun in this song, but the original song was very well choreographed on Madhuri Dixit and Neena Gupta, it was brilliant and will always be so.”
