CHENNAI: IPL team Chennai Super Kings felicitated real-life heroes elephant caretakers Boman and Bailey and Oscar-winning filmmaker Karthik Gonsalves at a special event here.
Chennai team captain MS Dhoni presented CSK jerseys to the trio after training at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.
Additionally, Chennai Super Kings will also organize a special felicitation ceremony for the caregiver couple and filmmaker at the stadium ahead of their match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday.
Roopa Gurunath, owner of Chennai Super Kings, along with KS Vishwanathan, CEO, Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, will hand over the memento.
CSK will also present a check to Mudumalai Tiger Conservation Foundation for the welfare of elephants.
“We are delighted to honor Kartiki, our elephant caretakers Boman and Bailey, whose heartwarming story has reached far and wide. It is a matter of great pride for all of us that our own level has been reached.”
“Conservation of Asian elephants is the need of the hour and we are also happy to extend our support to two elephants Ammu and Raghu by contributing towards their living expenses,” said KS Vishwanathan.(IANS)
